I Am Going To Need Someone To Explain This To Me...

|| || || Leave a comments
I have been seeing these Pop Phones everywhere.  I have to admit, I just don't understand the draw here.  Retro- check. Plenty of color choices- check.  It should be right up my alley but I feel like I am missing something.  I am thinking maybe it is a comfort thing but I could be wrong.  So, for those of you out there who own and love a Pop Phone please explain...I am all ears.
Above image West Elm but you can find these everywhere, EVERYWHERE.

Sneak Peek

 This is the second time I have used this tile.  The first was in a herringbone pattern on a floor (picture coming) and now as a backsplash.   I love it.
The hardware for this space is so pretty.
More to come....

An Oldie...

I wanted a client to see a picture that had been around for a while and after some digging I found what I was looking for...
Now if I could just find the proper source.  Anyone know?

*Update: Thanks to my friend Jennifer I can tell you this space is by Nicholas Haslam

Back Into The Swing of Things

 Last week we headed to Nashville with window seat cushions for a client in tow.  They looked great!
 We had a great few days with family, lots of sweet memories were made.
I hope you all had a wonderful break and I hope today is not too hard as we get into the swing of things.

 Not only is the office getting a fresh coat of paint......
Our bathroom is also getting a big facelift.  Living in chaos...not so much fun.
I am sure it will all be worth it though once it is done!

I Already Loved Sue...Then There Was A Lion

|| || || Leave a comments
Do you watch the show The Middle?  If not you should, it is good.  Just when I thought I could not like these two any more, Sue goes and finds a lion door knocker.

I have to tell you, there are few things I love more for a house than a good knocker and if you have been reading this blog for a while you know I love a lion.  A few years ago I started working with a new client and when I walked up to her door and spied this, I knew we would get along just fine.
She moved, the lion moved with her, I was relieved.  So where is my lion knocker?  That is an excellent question.  I have looked and looked at Scott's, antique stores, etc. but I have never pulled the trigger.  It is time that changed and I think the answer comes from Ebay.  Two I am eying...

Just A "Quick" Change

|| || || Leave a comments
We are in the middle of the pre-holiday season scramble, every year this time is crazy in the design world.  So, it would only be fitting that now would also be when I decided we needed to paint the office trim because I could not take the terrible mustard color ONE MORE DAY.
Wow, now that I look closer this is a really bad picture, I can't believe I am posting this but it is what it is.  The office is really looking much better in general so after the trim is painted I will post some better pictures to redeem myself.

Opinions Please, Do You Have This Table?

|| || || Leave a comments
A client is thinking about using this table in her playroom.  I have used it before but on hard surfaces.  This time it will go on carpet.  Does anyone have one that could give us some insight regarding the stability of the table on carpet....with younger aged children.

Great Gifts For A Good Cause

|| || || Leave a comments
 One of my favorite things in Henry's nursery is this cross on the Big Board.
It was made by my dear friend Bullen Timo, you may remember him from here or here.   With just two semesters left he continues to work so, so, so hard to raise the funds to complete his education.  He personally hand made that cross and many more.  They are available for purchase and I think they would make excellent gifts- for yourself or others.
 These are just some I love, but there are many more and you can also request custom designs.
 Hung on a wall, layered in a bookshelf, on top of a coffee table- you name it, they would work.
If you are interested in purchasing one you can go to Bullen's Etsy Shop- imParting Hope.  Definitely an amazing purchase for an amazing cause!

Hen Votes

Henry decided to wear his red, white and blue to the polls today (along with some wild hair).  When asked his choices he said he voted for more bouncy balls, animal books and puppies.  He did not vote for naps or vegetables.

Til The Cows Come Home

|| || || Leave a comments
  This year for Halloween Henry was a cow (thanks to a sweet client).  I wanted to share pictures but it turns out photographing a 14 month old in a costume he does not want to be wearing is hard.  Out the camera came and up the street the mad cow headed....
 Up and down, up and down the neighbors stairs...
  After 2,000,000 20 rounds of this Ferdinand decided he might be persuaded to head back to the house...maybe we have this under control...
 Oh no, no.  Rule number one with a toddler- even when you think you do, you never really have things under control.  Another neighbors door- up and down, up and down.
By the time we finally made it back home it was time to head to a party and the mad cow won the picture battle that night.  However, we did snap (hallelujah) some shots while doing a test run last weekend so at least we have these.
On a side note thank you for the stroller recommendations, they were so helpful!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
